For the third time, this Community Service project was organized by RAC Maadi ElGedida together with SEMIRAMIS INTERCONTINENTAL Hotel.
In the clothes bazaar, old clothes are sold for minimum prices and the income is given to the National Cancer Institute. The bazaar was hosted in one of the institute's halls.

It was very successful as we were able to collect about 5000 pieces and sold them for 4800 L.E which was then added to our savings for acquiring a medical monitoring machine for the institute.

Big Orphan's Day

3/4/2009

On April 3rd, the 'National Orphan's Day' in Egypt, RAC Maadi ElGedida has gathered about 700 orphan kids to spend a day in Akhnaton school in which entertainment, games and activities for the kids were organized in order to ensure a pretty good time for the kids.

The ages of the kids ranged from 4 to 16 and were from different orphanages.

It was a very joyful day for the boys and the girls since there were various activities to do like dancing, playing games, playing football, watching shows, getting their face painted, candy eating and playing with the other kids in the playground of the school.

As organized by the project leader, Mohamed Shaker, at the beginning of the day, the children had a breakfast meal that consisted of a patee, "Yes" juice and "chipsy'' potato chips. The lunch offered to them was from Macdonald's and Wesaya and "Siwa" mineral water bottles were available during the day.

When it was time for them to leave, the kids were given toys (acquired from Mohsen El Fayoumi) as gifts.

Special Thanks to:
-Macdonald's
-Wesaya
-Yes juice manufacturer
-Chipsy
-Alkan
-Siwa water manufacturer

For contributing to the sponsoring of this 24000 L.E project.

Also we would like to thank Akhnaton School for providing a place for this day to happen with no costs and for offering its school buses for transportation of the children.

Last but not least, we thank all those who donated.
